I bought these to use for in ear monitors at church. I play bass and just wasn't happy with my Shures. I tried them this morning at church and couldn't believe how much better they were. I literally could hear everything from highs to lows very clear. I was concerned that they may not handle the bass but they were great. I wasn't expecting much since there are so many others that cost so much more. Each musician has our own controller so we can mix vocals and instrument levels to our preference. These ears worked great with that system. I only used them today so if anything changes I will update.

If you think that Fender just made great guitars and amps. As with all Fender made products these earbuds bring the great sound Fender is known for. They come with several types and size ear canal tips for a custom fit. If want to hear your music collection or you want to use them while singing with a band this has to be the best bang for the buck. I love these earbuds!!

I listen to a lot of Funk and old school soul music where it's a lot of bass guitar riffs. These IEM are excellent for that considering you have to break them in first. A bit harsh if you don't break them in at first but once you do you're in for a nice treat. Hook these babies up to a nice DAC/AMP like the Geek Out 1000, and they'll really bring forth the magic. Be careful with the wires, they are thin and can get tangles easily. Other than that these are stellar.Update: 5/15/2017 - While the IEM still sounds good, I learned using the original ear tips does no justice. You may have to buy aftermarket ear tips for they give a much better seal thus sound. And they may sit in your ear a lot better. The bass reproduced is more articulate and not boomy. So far they are holding up to daily use and they get a lot of attention from co workers who recognise the Fender name. Remember, using an amp you will get the most out of these IEM.

great in-ears for the $$, the bass is so clear even with open B on my 5 string bass.i had a set of competitor's for the same price and these by far blow them away as far as tonal range and clarity.if you're a bassist, i highly recommend these!!

Broken ear piece, poor sound and small electric shock when moving wires. That says it all

Finding that Fender were going to market a line of in ear monitors, I could not wait to get my hands (and ears) on a pair. I purchased a set of the FXA2's, and have now been thru the "burn-in" period. The sound I find to be top heavy, if you like a lot of bass, these will work for you. However, the housings are HUGE, they do stick out from the ears some, making them somewhat hard to keep in, and does cause some fatigue if they are worn for long periods. The most negative matter is the cable. Only having them a few months, the cable has sheared already, causing a short, and of course, drop outs of music. Contacted Fender, what is needed to get a replacement cable (copy of the original receipt, a video of the problem on the cable, with an explanation...) is really not worth it.

Sounds great, and very comfortable! It can seat in my ear for hours with no problems. And did I mention they sound great? The only remark is not having a version with microphone.

I am leaving my original review below so you can see what a difference the comply foam tips made. I bought the comply foam tips - comfort and also isolation for these (They take the 200s) - WHAT a difference. These sounded better than my custom IEM's that I paid $450 for. What I will say is that after only a few months the cable is shorting out. That makes me very sad - but I switched to my other in ears and I knew I had to buy another set of these right away - they just sound way too good. OBVIOUSLY - get the comply foam tips for these...it makes a world of difference - read my original review below.Original Review (1 star)These say they fit 95% of ears. I find that hard to believe. My ears are pretty standard. I have used many universal fit ear buds that sound and fit just as good as my custom molds. I LOVE Fender, so I was so excited when I found out they had the FXA line coming out. I ordered from Gear Tree (which I will NEVER do again) and they will not accept a return. There is nothing clearly noted on the description that says they can't be returned. So now I am out $200 on a product that I can't use. They fall out all the time, they hurt your ears and, above all, the sound isn't that great. It is fatiguing on your ear drum. After a while you can't even tell what you are playing...everything sounds like mush.
