I hope that if you pay this much for earphones, your not listening to compressed music with them. That would be a total waste. These earphones deserve high resolution FLAC files. If you're listening to "streamed" music or mp3 music you just wasted $350! That's like buying a $4000 DSLR to take pictures of your cat. Don't get me wrong, I love cats, but my phone is sufficient for that task. If you're listening to streamed music, buy the X11's instead. You can get those for under a Benjamin."But I don't know what high resolution music is". Or "I don't want to pay $20 for a high resolution music album". Geez folks, you just spent $350 on a pair of earphones, it won't kill you to pony up for some high quality music! If I catch you listening to streamed music with these, YOU WILL GET A LECTURE!

I wear only one side -- the left -- because the volume control inline brings weight. The wires are thicker and stiffer and the ear buds are more slippery than the old clear ones. Because the wiring went on my old pair I was forced to upgrade. I prefered the 10.

Awesome headphones. The wiring at the headphone jack comes apart easily. Same at the split in the middle. This is a X series flaw. Its happened on the 10s and the 11s.

Very decent sound quality for a small headphone (single driver), similar sound signature of its predecessor but definitely better made. However, the mic is a bit oversized and still enormous cable noise. Best for sitting still scenarios.

I don't know what I was expecting but I guess I was expecting more from a set of earbuds this expensive. They're ok. But that's it, just ok. I don't think the sound is that much better than the samsung earbuds that came with my phone. They also feel flimsy. I'm not saying they are flimsy. I've thrown them in my pocket for numerous trips and they still work just fine. I'm also not a huge fan of the ear pieces. they have a pointed tip which feels strange. I'd just say they're not worth the extra money.Update:7 Months after buying them the wires are separating from the connector. We'll see if they replace them under warranty. I don't use these ever day so its pretty disappointing that they're failing this fast.

The weight of the X11i was evenly balanced. The X12i is unbalanced with the volume and media controls positioned on the left earbud's wire. The product imagery depicted on this Amazon store page does not accurately portray the product.

I was looking for a pair of IEM to use on the go. My Sennheiser IE800 sound fabulous but have no microphone. My top-end Shure sound fabulous but like all cable-going-over-the-ear design are a pain to take on and off quickly. Most other large in-ear do not fit my particular shape of ear (and they are relatively heavy, hence in need for the cable-over-the-ear design mentioned above). These? They are ultra-comfortable, sound GREAT (from a guy who has Sennheiser HD800, Grado's, and so on), have microphone, can be taken in and out of your ear in a snap, are solid, and are a sonic bargain for the money (said with respect for what $350 mean to someone's wallet). Can't recommend them enough for the every-day, moving-around audiophile. Sound even better with amp, but even off an iPhone playing Soundcloud (not the highest end sound), they do a great job. Congrats Klipsch!

Comfortable, light and excellent sound quality. What's not to love! Unlike so many other earbuds, the Klipsch design takes advantage of ear design with a shape that sits flush in the small gap at the bottom of the exterior ear. This elegant ergonomic response allows the earbud to sit flush, keeping it in place during exercise, under a motorcycle helmet, etc. Also, I really appreciate the improvement in cord quality. Nice work!

The best headphones I have ever owned. Expensive, but worth every penny! The sound quality is absolutely fantastic and a novice like me can clearly hear the difference between these headphones and Apple's. I hate to say it, but they make skull candy sound like, well, skull poison. I highly recommend these!

I'm coming off a set of an older series - Image S4a - that I purchased in 2012. I spend a significant amount of time using ear buds so I wanted to upgrade for sound quality. The Image S4a and still going strong.. I received the X12i and they DO sound amazing. Two issues that lead to the low rating. First, the wires between the earbuds and control are flimsy. I can easily see them tearing apart from daily use in a short period of time. Compare this to the strength of connection to the S4a's and I became concerned. Perception is reality. I don't want to take the chance with $350 earbuds. Furthermore, the ear pieces are not comfortable. I need to remove them for a short break every 30 minutes or so. For these reasons I give a low rating and sent them back to Amazon.
